This paper provides an initial framework describing how digital health
interventions may be used to strengthen education and build health
workforce capacity. Its approach includes the synthesis of broader
scientific evidence and practical case studies on the use of digital health
education for health workers. The findings draw heavily on evidence
from a recently published collection of systematic reviews on digital
tools and health workers’ education. Additionally, the conditions
needed for scaling up digital health interventions, and integrating them
into broader health systems application have also been described.
