This session, organised by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, builds on their first seminar on Primary Health Care and AI which took place on 13 November 2024. This seminar will explore the Stanford University’s Healthcare AI Applied Research Team’s (HEA3RT) views on current and likely future applications of AI in primary care services. We will discuss what primary care in different settings may look like in 10 to 20 years’ time with AI as well as the potential risks and benefits of this. We will seek lessons for other academic and primary care teams who wish to build a portfolio of research related to AI. This session will be followed with a further session on Primary Health Care and AI on 27th February 2025 focusing on lower and middle-income country settings.
