The Community of Practices (CoP) in Primary Health Care (PHC) of Chile, made up of an interdisciplinary group of PHC providers, academics, public health professionals and municipal and ministry of health representatives, emerged in 2012 as part of the Regional Initiative: Collaborative Network in APS, with the following objectives:
- Contribute to the social and political validation of the Primary Health Care strategy in Chile.
- Support the strengthening and positioning of the role of family doctors and health teams.
- Promote the articulation of the PHC conglomerate at the national level (health teams, professionals in training, Family Health Centers, Communes, etc.)
- Reflect and have spaces that allow identifying, characterizing and disseminating good practices and innovative management experiences in PHC.
