Primary Health Care Country Case Study Compendium

The Primary Health Care (PHC) Country Case Studies Compendium is a comprehensive resource curated by the World Health Organization (WHO) to inform PHC-oriented policies, strategies, and operational plans with evidence-based insights.

Launched in May 2024, this compendium houses nearly 300 case studies derived from or aligned with the 2018 Astana Declaration, sourced globally from WHO, its regional and country offices, international development partners, and networks like the UHC Partnership. Each case study within illustrates strategic or operational levers outlined in the PHC Operational Framework, facilitating targeted searches by PHC component and lever to empower stakeholders worldwide with actionable knowledge for transformative healthcare practices.

This compendium has been curated by the World Health Organization (WHO), and as a WHO Collaborating Centre on Primary Health Care, we have been tasked with its dissemination and use as part of the global agenda to strengthen PHC-oriented research and knowledge management.
